Steve started playing harmonica listening to Lee Brilleaux (Dr Feelgood) over 25 years ago and from there his influences expanded to include other blues harmonica players especially Little Walter. He started singing with his first band “July Five”, mainly as a backing singer. It was many years before he felt ready to take on the front man position, but having decided that’s what he really wanted to do he took the plunge, auditioned for The Jackals, and joined them two years ago. He particularly loves singing songs by Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
